Rest in Peace Firefighter Vincent Myruski
On November 14, 2015 the Goshen Fire District and Dikeman Engine & Hose Company lost a long time member Vincent Myruski. He was 92.
Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Louise "Jiggs" Myruski at home; his daughter, Lynn Riehle of Goshen, NY; three sons, Mark Myruski and his partner, Lloyd Lemek of Dallas, TX, David Myruski and his wife, Thelma of Goshen, NY, and Matthew Myruski of Goshen, NY. Vincent is also survived by three grandchildren, Jason Riehle of Goshen, NY, Lisa Myruski of Brooklyn, NY, and Danielle Riehle Rosen and her husband, Jordan; two great grandchildren, Simone and Gage Rosen of White Plains, NY; one sister, Helen Myruski Lloyd of Naples, FL, a brother-in-law, Joseph Roach of Chester, NY; and 28 nieces and nephews.
Vincent was a member of the Operating Engineers Union and retired from the Dutchess Quarry in 1992 where he worked for many years. He was an honorary member of the Dikeman Engine & Hose Co. #3 where he served the Goshen community since 1956. He was also a special honorary member of the Cataract Engine & Hose, Goshen, NY.
Visitation Hours will be held at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen, NY. Interment will be handled privately by the family at a later date.
